I Do::Houston Wedding Photographer

I recently “wet my feet” in the world of wedding photography while second-shooting for my good friend Laura Watson. Really we just needed an excuse to hang out together without our kids. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous with a camera in my hands. I’m talking cold sweat nervous. My job was to follow the groom and his crew and most importantly, capture the groom’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. In fact, it was one of the few specific “must-have” shots the bride selected during her consult with Laura. So it only makes sense that I had visions of me tripping over my own feet the minute she entered the room and using the $2,000 rented lens to break my fall. Fortunately I survived the events of the day- no tripping, no broken lens, and some shots that make me smile. I did, however look down at some point during the reception to find that my raggedy homemade slip was well below the hemline of my dress. Oops.
